Seriously, it’s really great and you should both be proud. You’ve found a space which no one else is exploring really, and which offers you pretty limitless possibilities for investigation and chat. Which isn’t actually as easy as you make out! In fact, I wonder if the potential only really dawned on you after you really got going?

I think you're right we've grown in confidence as it's gone on - and tbh we feel really lucky to have stumbled on a format with such wide-ranging possibilities.. but that's the boon of culture studies really. I think partly we looked around at what was out there already and what we wanted to do happened to coincide with a sizable gap in the market - there were some v serious and good left political podcasts, some v serious and not v entertaining academic podcasts... and some fun/funny "mates chatting shit" podcasts - but nothing in between
